Hello My Pretties,

This weekend I was blessed to have been invited to Paint Faces at the Alyangula Picnic day for the fifth year in a row!

It was such a lovely day, bright and sunny with a wicked wind blowing up a little mischief to keep up on our toes!
Alyangula is a very special place where I have come to spend a great deal of my time over the last 7 years so I was relishing every moment of this wonderful day.

I was working alongside some of my beautiful face painting friends from the top end; Ms Yeni from  Yenz Face Painting along with Trixie the Pixie and some of Darwin’s Psycus beauties.

The theme of the day was “Country Fair” with baking and craft competitions being judged by the beautiful Groote Eylandt CWA Ladies.
There were heaps of fun activities for the kids including three legged races, egg and spoon relays, jumping castles, Dora the Explorer and the Ninja Turtles.
The adults were kept entertained with the gum boot throwing competition,  novelty races and a tug-of-war, while Pete Murray and Busby Marou played some kicked back, cruisey tunes which reflected the relaxed, chilled-out family day.

It was so nice to be painting faces in the company of fabulously talented, inspirational face painters ~  We were a very colourful, eclectic bunch!

I had such a nice time working with my face painting friends from the top end.
